Took these photos while biking at the White Street Pier and the Garden Club at West Martello Tower - a classic example of a swords to plow shares project. The Key West Garden Club is one of the island's last remaining free tourist attractions with plants donated and maintained by members and volunteers.

Ferry to Fort Myers

I took the Key West Ferry to Fort Myers this weekend! The trip was delightful. I visited one of my best friends in Sarasota and went to a fabulous farmer's market and an eco fair in downtown Sarasota. The ferry is a very comfortable way to travel. I've attached a few pictures.

Comedy in the Keys

I've been rehearsing for a repeat production of BitchSlap! at the Waterfront Playhouse and my co-stars are renowned female impersonators Chris Peterson and Randy Roberts. The production sold out all performances last year! The play is a 75 minute romp through the heyday of Hollywood during the golden era when Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Hedda Hopper (Hollywood gossip columnist) were at their best! Morning bike ride

What a great morning for a bike ride, March 9th. Saw the Carnival cruise ships at the outer mole pier and yoga class at Fort Zachary Taylor Beach - what a contrast, vessels of mega tourism beside vessels of human meditation and spiritualization! Warmer temps are making everyone feel more human. Key West is gearing up for St. Patrick's Day! Roll on Easter...lent is nearly over.
